Chris Long – Executive Chairman
Chris is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty years experience in the organisation. As Executive Chairman, Chris’ principal focus is providing support and guidance to the management team through which his drive, energy and meticulous attention to detail are channelled to deliver the service excellence and operational integrity for which the company is renowned.
Dilber Vapiwala – HR Manager
A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, Dilber joined GlaxoSmithKline on its HR Graduate Programme in 1999 after having graduated with a Masters in Human Resource Management. She joined EC Group in 2011, bringing over ten years of HR Management and policy development experience. Dilber is responsible for managing all HR issues at EC Group and has established HR as an integral function within the organisation.
Gavin Weekes – Chief Operating Officer
Gavin has extensive business development and management expertise gained through twenty-five years in fulfilment, promotional handling, direct mail and print services. With an energetic and inclusive people management style, as COO, Gavin is responsible for service delivery across the company’s operations and for driving sustainable business growth through the provision of effective solutions to meet our clients' evolving requirements.
Kim Singleton – Senior Account Manager
Kim graduated in 1980 and after spending time working in the City, travelling in Australia and working in Algeria, joined EC Group in 1987. Kim has wide ranging account management experience across a variety of commercial and public sector accounts. Fluent in French and German, Kim has strong people and IT skills which, together with over twenty years' experience in the business, make him a key member of the EC Group team.
Mark Barker – Warehouse Manager
Mark joined EC Group in 1998 and as a home-grown talent, has progressed rapidly through the ranks. Mark has responsibility for all day-to-day warehouse activity, including production planning and scheduling, and the coordination of our various warehouse resources to meet our clients' exacting requirements and deadlines. He has an engaging and energetic management style and a wealth of practical experience covering a wide range of storage, handling and packing activities.
Mark Rowlands – IT Director
Mark joined EC Group in January 2006 and was appointed IT Director in April 2006. Educated at San Antonio Community College and the University of Texas at San Antonio, Mark has a rare combination of strong technical ability and commercial acumen. His track record in IT includes applied research, systems analysis and software consultancy covering a range of value-added database, fulfilment, warehouse management and B2B systems.
Nick Mackley – Chief Financial Officer
After graduating with a Masters in Engineering and Management, Nick qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick in 1989 before moving into industry three years later. Nick has extensive FD-level experience in the storage and logistics sector, including over seven years as FD of EC Group. As CFO, Nick is responsible for all things financial and for maintaining a high standard of financial discipline and control across the company’s activities.
Richard Pannell – Senior Account Manager
Richard joined EC Group's IT department in June 2001 and is an excellent administrator with advanced skills on a number of computer packages and several specialised database applications. Having moved into the Account Management team in 2003, Richard is a confident and enthusiastic Account Manager with responsibility for managing a variety of mailing and fulfilment accounts.
Stephen Holland – Senior Account Manager
Stephen was born in the UK and educated in South Africa where he obtained Institute of Bankers' qualifications working with Standard Chartered and then Barclays, before moving to the UK and joining EC Group in 1984. Stephen is hugely experienced in a wide range of activity covering mailing, fulfilment and promotional campaign handling, including the management of a number of major national campaigns for both government and commercial clients.
