There’s no doubt that business is booming for courier companies in the UK due to record-breaking levels of online shopping. Despite providing a very similar service, there are driving forces behind which delivery company you should trust to carry your goods.
DPD Comes Top in Poll Results
In October 2020, we published an article which evaluated the UK’s main courier companies based on:
The services they offer
Reviews from customers
The size of their delivery fleet
Number of employees
Number of locations in the UK
We found that overall, DPD came out on top with the highest customer rating on Trustpilot and the best range of delivery services. Our findings have been reinforced by a recent poll from MoneySavingExpert which surveyed 11,000 people after the Christmas period in 2020. Based on their experiences over the year, customers were asked to rank the main UK-based courier companies from best to worst. DPD received the best ratings and secured the top position for the eighth year in a row, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Other key insights from the 2020 survey include:
Yodel was deemed to be the worst delivery company by the British public
Amazon Logistics managed to climb from fifth place in 2019’s survey results to third in 2020
Collect + fell from second in 2019 to sixth in 2020
Royal Mail managed to retain its position in fourth place

Gain more positive reviews
